Danielle M. Phillips, Principal

Principal Danielle M. Phillips is the principal of Alfred Cramer College Preparatory Lab School in the East Camden neighborhood. Cramer School serves students in grades Pre-Kindergarten to six and is located on the 2800 block of Mickle Street. Cramer has a diverse student population of 51 percent African-American, 39 percent Hispanic, 8 percent Asian, and 2 percent Caucasian, which helps give the school its unique culture.

Principal Phillips previously worked as the vice principal of Veterans Memorial Family School in the Cramer Hill section of Camden. Principal Phillips began her career in 1991 as an instructional assistant, and shortly thereafter became an elementary school teacher at Rafael Cordero Molina School, serving students in third and fourth grades. During her time at Molina, she held a number of titles including reading recovery teacher, testing specialist, and math coach.

Principal Phillips has a bachelor’s degree from St. John's University in New York City and a master’s degree from Cheyney University. Although Principal Phillips is a Philadelphia native, she has been a resident of Pennsauken Township since 2003. She currently resides with her husband, two daughters, and granddaughter. Principal Phillips enjoys dining out, outdoor activities, and traveling. Most of all, she enjoys nurturing and mentoring her students, which she done for the last 23 years.
